Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 15 July 2026
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] (“EduLinky”, “we”, “us”) and govern your use of the EduLinky mobile app and website (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Contents
1. Eligibility & accounts
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Choose your role (student, teacher or institution) honestly; roles cannot be misrepresented.
2. What EduLinky is — and isn't
EduLinky is a platform that helps students, teachers and institutions discover and connect with one another. We are not a party to any arrangement, lesson, employment, or contract that results from a connection made on the Service.
- We are not an employer, recruitment agency, or employment intermediary, and we do not guarantee any job, student, income, or outcome.
- We do not set, collect, or process payments for lessons or salaries arranged between users. Any such arrangement is solely between the users involved.
- You are responsible for your own decisions about who to meet, hire, teach, or learn from, and for complying with any laws that apply to you (including tax, employment, and safeguarding laws).
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, abuse, defame, or discriminate against any person;
- post content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise objectionable;
- impersonate anyone, misrepresent your identity, credentials, or role, or create fake or duplicate accounts;
- solicit money by deception, run scams, or use the Service to advertise unrelated goods or services (spam);
- contact anyone after they have blocked you, or attempt to circumvent a block or ban;
- collect or scrape other users' data, or use bots or automated means;
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the content you create (your profile, photos, messages, reviews and other material). You grant EduLinky a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, store, display and distribute that content solely to operate and provide the Service (for example, showing your profile to other users). You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it.
5. Objectionable content & zero tolerance
You can report or block any user directly in the app. We aim to review reports of objectionable content and to act on them — including removing content and ejecting the user responsible — within 24 hours. Reporting and blocking tools are available on every profile and in every conversation.
6. Teacher verification
Teachers may submit documents so that we can display a “verified” badge. Verification indicates that we reviewed the documents provided; it is not a guarantee of a person's identity, qualifications, character, or suitability. You should exercise your own judgement and normal caution when connecting with anyone.
7. Subscriptions & payments
- EduLinky offers optional auto‑renewing subscriptions (Premium for students and teachers; a subscription for institutions).
- Purchases made in the app are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and are governed by their terms. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
- Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, your subscription renews automatically and your store account is charged for the next period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep access until the end of the period already paid for.
- Except where required by law or by the applicable store's policies, payments are non‑refundable. Refund requests for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google.
- Prices and features may change; we will give notice of material changes as required by law.
8. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or engage in objectionable or abusive behaviour. We may remove content that violates these Terms. Where a subscription is active, termination for cause does not entitle you to a refund except as required by law.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error‑free, or secure, or that any connection, lesson, or hire made through it will meet your expectations. EduLinky does not conduct criminal background checks on users.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EduLinky and its officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from any interaction with another user. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict‑of‑laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there, except where applicable law grants you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
